Purpose:

This policy outlines the responsibilities and expectations for web development projects managed by the LMU Loyola Law School Technology Services team. Our goal is to ensure efficient and effective support for all law school websites and applications, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Scope:

This policy applies to all web development projects requested by law school faculty and staff.

Policy:

1. Content Management: The Technology Services team is not responsible for editing or managing website content. Content creation and updates are the responsibility of the requesting department or individual.

2. Hosting Requirements: All websites and applications supported by our department must be hosted on Loyola Marymount University (LMU) or Loyola Law School (LLS) approved web hosts. We do not support hosting on third-party sites.

3. Design and Templates: All websites and applications must use the official LMU/LLS styles and templates. Custom designs are not allowed to ensure consistency and compliance with university branding guidelines.

4. Content Types: Only official content types developed and approved by LMU Marketing & Communications can be used on supported websites and applications.

5. Request Submission: All website and application requests must be submitted via email to webadmin@lls.edu. Requests submitted through other channels will not be processed.

6. Google Marketing Support: Our department does not provide support for Google Analytics, Google Tag manager or Google Ads. For assistance with these products, please contact LLS Marketing & Communications.

7. Project and Task Completion: The completion of projects and tasks depends on several factors, including complexity, staff availability, and competing priorities. We will provide estimated timelines upon request.

8. Training: For training on Terminal Four Site Manager, please reach out to LLS Marketing & Communications. For training on Drupal CMS, please email webadmin@lls.edu.

9. Custom HTML Emails: Our department does not support custom HTML emails. For email-related support, please contact LLS Marketing & Communications.

10. User Access and Permissions: For user access and permissions for Terminal Four Site Manager, please reach out to LLS Marketing & Communications. For user access and permissions for Drupal websites, please contact webadmin@lls.edu.

11. Maintenance and Updates: Routine maintenance and updates for supported websites and applications will be performed by the Technology Services team. This includes security updates, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Major updates or redesigns will require a formal request and will be scheduled based on priority and resource availability.

12. Emergency Maintenance: In the event of an emergency that affects the functionality or security of supported websites and applications, the Technology Services team will perform necessary maintenance as quickly as possible. Emergency maintenance may occur outside of regular business hours if required. Affected parties will be notified of the issue and the expected resolution time as soon as possible.
